Our founder: Maharishi*

Maharishi Mahesh Yogi* is widely regarded as the foremost scientist in the field of consciousness. He founded the Global Country of World Peace in 2000 as a home for peace-loving people everywhere. During its inauguration, he said, “When you bring the light, instantly the darkness is over…This is the time that the world demands a power of peace in the whole world”.

Maharishi completed a revival of ancient Vedic wisdom and applied it through the lens of modern science in technologies of consciousness, and his Transcendental Meditation technique has been taught to millions of people around the world.

It was his life’s work to raise the consciousness of humankind and establish peace in the world.

Dr. Tony Nader

Tony Nader, M.D., Ph.D., is a medical doctor trained at Harvard University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology (Ph.D. in neuroscience), and a globally recognized Vedic scholar. As Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s successor, Dr. Nader is the leader of the Global Country of World Peace.

Dr. Nader oversees the international efforts of the Global Country of World Peace, and the practical applications of Maharishi’s technologies of consciousness in all areas of life—education, health, business, defense, agriculture, and more.
